सुभाषितम् - कोऽन्धः

कोऽन्धो योऽकार्यतः को बधिरो यो हितानि न शृणोति ।
को मूको यः काले प्रियाणि वक्तुं न जानाति ॥

कः - who. अन्धः - blind man. यः - he. अकार्यतः - who performs improper deeds. बधिरः - deaf man. न - does not शृणोति - listen to. हितानि (हितम्, २, बहु) - advice. मूकः - mute. काले - at the right time. न - does not जानाति - know. वक्तुम् - to say. प्रियाणि [वाक्यानि] - sweet [words].

Who is blind? He who acts improperly.
Who is deaf? He who does not listen to advice.
Who is mute? He who does not know how to speak sweetly when the time arises.
